This article explains how system administrators can add a new public holiday calendar.
Public holiday calendars for each Australian state should already be in your environment. If your organisation delivers regional services and observes regional public holidays, you can create additional public holiday calendars and add their public holiday days.

Create a public holiday calendar record
To create a public holiday calendar record:
- Click on the App Launcher nine dot icon and search for public holiday calendars.
- Select Public Holiday Calendars.
- Click on the New button.
- Enter a name for the calendar into the Public Holiday Calendar Name field.
- Click on the Save button.
Once you’ve added a public holiday calendar, you’ll need to add each public holiday day.
Add a public holiday day
To add a public holiday day:
- While you're on the public holiday calendar record, click on the Related tab.
- Click on the New button at the top of the Public Holiday Days related list.
- This will launch a New Public Holiday Day popup.
- The Public Holiday Calendar field should already be filled with the name of the calendar. Fill in the following mandatory fields -
- Public Holiday Day Name
- Start Date
- End Date - Must be the same as the start date. Public holidays in Australian public holiday calendars are listed by individual days.
- Click on the Save button, or Save & New to create more public holiday days for the current calendar.
