Lumary PM - This article explains how to create a participant in Lumary PM.
Before you begin...
Before creating a new participant, make sure there is a valid Service Booking in the NDIA portal so that details of the participant's plan can be brought into Lumary PM.

To create a participant:
- Click on the down arrow on the Participants tab.
- Select + New Participant from the drop-down list.
- A New Participant popup will appear.
- Click on the Participant radio button.
- Click on the Next button.
- A New Participant: Participant form will appear.
- Complete the form by entering information into as many fields as possible. Fields marked with * are mandatory and must be completed. Some of the key fields in the Participant Information section of the form are explained below.
This field is mandatory and must be completed to allow the system to sync the participant's plan with the NDIA portal.
This field will be automatically populated with Waiting until the participant's plan has been synced with the NDIA portal, at which time it will update to Current.
|Date Client Registered||
This field will be automatically populated with the current date. You can select an alternative date if needed.
This field will be automatically populated when you click on the Save button. A household account will be created using the participant's last name.
|Invoice Approval Required||
This checkbox can be used to control whether invoices will need to be approved by the participant before they can be submitted to the NDIA for claiming.
|Receives Statements||This checkbox controls whether a participant will have their monthly statements automatically emailed to them.|
The next few sections of the form capture various information about the participant. Many of the fields are self explanatory. Each section of the form is briefly explained below.
This section captures basic information about the participant such as their name and date of birth.
There is also a mandatory field to select the NDIS Price Guide rate that is applicable to the participant.
Participant Contact Details
|This section captures information about how to contact the participant.|
|Address Information||This section captures the participant's address information.|
|Participant Demographics||This section captures information on participant demographics, which may be needed for reporting purposes.|
|Portal||This section only needs to be completed when setting up access to the Participant Portal. For more information see provide a participant access to the Participant Portal.|
- Click on the Save button.
- The new participant record should now appear.
The system will automatically sync with the NDIA portal to bring the details of the participant's plan into your system. The Status of the participant will be Waiting while this is happening and will update to Current once this is complete.
