This article explains how we support and inform customers during updates and releases for their production environments.
Lumary deploys updates for Lumary CM throughout the year. This includes major releases, minor releases and updates to support things like changes to NDIS pricing. The timing of these releases is often impacted by:
- changes to NDIS and other funding requirements, and
- the types of feature updates required to support those changes.
We focus our updates and support for production environments on:
- the latest minor version of the latest major release, and
- the last minor version of the previous major release.
For the best experience using Lumary, we recommend making sure your production environment is on one of the versions described above.
Customers can request to be excluded from a release by notifying their client outcomes manager (COM) or submitting a support request. If you request exclusion from a release, you'll need to notify Lumary by submitting a support request when you're ready to update to the new version.
This article provides an overview of how we deploy:
Major release
A major release includes significant new features, improvements and changes to Lumary CM. To help providers verify compatibility with their production environments, the major release process includes more time and opportunities for sandbox (or user acceptance) testing.
When the process begins, a notification is sent to all customers that a major release has been scheduled. This will provide an opportunity for customers to test the release with all of its planned changes in their sandbox environment. Once it's ready for testing, sandboxes will be updated with the release package for all customers who provide their sandbox's details.
Customers are kept informed about our progress through the different stages of the release process on the Lumary CM release status live page.
Minor release
Minor releases are aimed at resolving product-wide issues raised by customers and fixing bugs and other minor issues. Minor releases are deployed to all production environments on the latest version of Lumary CM.
Customers can keep up-to-date about minor releases by following our CM minor releases page. When we're ready to deploy a minor release, we'll update this page, which sends a notification to anyone who is following that section in the Help Centre. Instructions for how to follow the page are included at the end of that article.
NDIS pricing updates
An NDIS pricing update adds any new rates required by changes to the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price List and Support Catalogue. Updates to system functionality required to support changes to the pricing arrangements are included in subsequent minor or major releases.
NDIS pricing updates will be developed and applied to:
- the latest minor release of the latest major release, and
- the last minor release of the previous major release.
Customers who have deferred a release and are not on one of these versions will not receive NDIS pricing updates. They'll need to update to one of the versions described above to receive new rates.
Updates to functionality to support NDIS pricing changes will only be made to the latest production release. This includes things like changes to cancellation logic.
