This article explains how to add a case note to an aged care client's contact record.
Lumary enables you to create case notes from customised templates. Case notes form part of a client's contact record and can be linked to previous case notes or client goals as noted in their goal achievement plan.
The functionality described in this article requires the activation of home care package (HCP) features in your production environment. It also requires that users have the Lumary - Case note permission set enabled.
In order to create a case note you need to have first created a case note template.
To add a case note:
- On the client contact record, click on the Add Case Note button.
- The Date field should auto-populate with today's date. Click in the Note Template field and select a template from the drop-down list.
- Click the Next button.
- If you need to link to a previous case note, in the Previous Case Note section click on the View switch to toggle it to the Show position.
- A preview of the previous case note will display. Tick the Link Case Notes checkbox.
This section will only appear if the option to link case notes has been enabled in the template.
- In the Case Note Details section, the Case Note Subject/Title field will be auto-populated from the template name but can be changed if required.
- In the Case Note field, add the details of the case note.
- The fields that appear in the rest of the form will vary, depending on what was enabled in the template. Click the buttons to turn them on or off and add details as required.
- In the Note Settings area, the Note Status will be set by default to Complete. If you need to keep the note as a draft, click in the field and select Draft from the drop-down list.
- Click the Next button.
- If you need to add attachments, drag files onto the panel or click on the Upload Files link to add a file from your device.
This screen will only appear if the option to upload files has been enabled in the template.
- Click on the Finish button.
- The new case note will appear in the client's activity feed and also under the Notes tab. To edit, click on the drop-down arrow next to the note and select Edit.
