This article provides an overview of how to take a completed session back to a Rostered status.
Sometimes a session is marked as Completed or In Progress before all the correct details are finalised—such as travel and transport charges or the actual times worked. The Reset Session feature allows you to return a session to the Rostered status, giving you the flexibility to update the session details and regenerate billing.
This is a more streamlined and user-friendly alternative to correcting data through the legacy Service Delivery Entry screen.

When to use session reset
Use the Reset Session function if:
- Travel or transport details were entered incorrectly
- Start or end times need updating
- You need to regenerate billing due to updated session information
- The session status is Completed or In Progress
- The session’s Service Delivered records (SDs) have not yet been extracted
If Service Delivered records linked to the session have already been extracted (e.g., for claiming or reporting), you cannot reset the session. This is because resetting deletes the session’s associated SDs.
What happens when you reset a session
- The session is returned to the Rostered status
- You can make any required edits (e.g. time, travel, worker details)
- Any SDs created for the session are removed
- You can then re-complete the session and regenerate SDs
How to reset a session
To reset a session:
- Navigate to a Completed or In Progress session.
- Click the Reset Session button on the session header.
- Confirm you wish to reset the session.
- Session Status will update to Rostered.
- You can then make the relevant changes you wish to make to the session.
- Click Complete button to re-complete the session and re-generate Service Delivered records.
