This article provides an introduction to managing bookings and appointments using Sessions.
In Lumary, appointments and accommodation are stored on session records. Session records can be created and tracked through the:
- calendar and activity feed on a client's contact record
- Sessions Calendar
- Sessions lists, or
- Beds Calendar.
You must have Sessions activated in your environment to be able to access these functions. If you can't find them, speak to the Lumary team to get access.
The approach you use will depend on the type of session you're planning. For example, if you're setting up an appointment between an individual client and a worker, the best approach is to use the calendar on the client's contact record. But if you're scheduling a session for a group of clients, you might find it easier to start from the Sessions Calendar.
If you're using calendars to track appointments, make sure that the time zone on your PC or device is the same as the time zone on your user account. If it isn't, your calendar may show a different time than what will appear on your session records.
The articles in this part of the Help Centre are organised around key steps in the process. As well as showing you how to book sessions and appointments, they also explain how to:
- add services so that you can claim funding for services delivered
- assign workers
- use the same appointment for multiple sessions, and
- remove sessions.
Accommodation is covered in a separate section that explains how to use the Beds Calendar to keep track of accommodation bookings and services.
Sessions can also be created in Lumary using third-party scheduling applications, like Skedulo or easyemployer. Articles in this part of the Help Centre assume that you are using Lumary's native sessions tools.
