This article explains how to generate a draft quote for a new service agreement.
As part of creating a service agreement, you have the option to generate a draft quote. This allows you to provide the client with a copy of the proposed service agreement before signing. It's a useful way of enabling negotiation about the inclusions/exclusions on an agreement before generating a version for the client to sign.
To generate the draft quote:
- Open the client's contact record, then click on the Contracts tab.
- Find the relevant service agreement and click the text link on the service agreement name.
- Click the Draft Quote button.
Can't see a Draft Quote button? If you've already generated a quote and the status of the service agreement has been updated to Quote Submitted, the button won't be visible. If you cancel the quote, the button will reappear.
- A PDF of the service agreement is generated and opens in a new browser window. Print or download as required and then close the window to return to the main Service Agreement screen.
If you and the client are satisfied with the terms of the service agreement, you can proceed to the next part of the process which is to generate a quote.
