This article explains how to generate a draft quote for a new service agreement.
As part of creating a service agreement, you have the option to generate a draft quote. This allows you to provide the client with a copy of the proposed service agreement before signing. It's a useful way of enabling negotiation about the inclusions/exclusions on an agreement before generating a version for the client to sign.
To generate the draft quote:
- Go to the client's service agreement.
- Click on the Draft Quote button. This will only be visible if the agreement has a status of Draft.
Can't see a Draft Quote button? If you've already generated a quote and the status of the service agreement has been updated to Quote Submitted, the button won't be visible. If you cancel the quote, the button will reappear.
- This will launch a new browser window that will contain either a PDF version of the service agreement or your document integration tool, depending on how your environment is set up. Save or print the document as required and then close the window to return to the main screen.
If you and the client are satisfied with the terms of the service agreement, you can proceed to the next part of the process which is to generate a quote.
