This article explains how to set up users to use the Lumary CM Mobile Experience.
To support the Lumary CM Mobile Experience, we’ve introduced new user profiles and permission sets that ensure workers only have access to the features and information they need to complete their shifts and sessions.
These profiles are also backwards compatible, allowing you to migrate users to the new setup while they continue using the existing Lumary Mobile app, without interruption to their access or workflows.
Required packages and permissions
Available with: Lumary 22 minor release 2 and later.
Permission set: Lumary - CM Mobile User and Lumary - Custom Settings

Creating a new user to use the Lumary CM Mobile Experience
When creating new users who will access the Lumary CM Mobile Experience to manage their shifts and appointments, it’s important to assign the correct profile and permission sets to ensure secure and restricted access.
Please follow the steps below:

Select Profile - Assign the following profile to restrict access to only the necessary areas of Salesforce and Lumary.

Lumary – Mobile CM - ⚠️ Not selecting this profile may result in the user having access to objects that are not required for managing shifts and sessions.

- Assign Permission Sets - Only the following permission sets should be assigned to users of the Lumary CM Mobile Experience. Avoid assigning any additional permission sets or permission set groups, as this may unintentionally expand their access.

Updating an existing Lumary App user to use the Lumary CM Mobile Experience
To maintain compliance and ensure secure, role-appropriate access, it's important to update the permissions of current Lumary Mobile App users before transitioning them to the Lumary CM Mobile Experience.
Make sure to assign the new profile and permission sets designed for this mobile experience. These settings restrict access to only what's needed for managing shifts and appointments, supporting a safe and streamlined user experience.
- Navigate to the user that will be migrating to the Lumary CM Mobile Experience.
- Click Edit
- Click the Profile dropdown and select Lumary – Mobile CM.
- Scroll down to Permission Set Groups, Click Edit Permission Set Groups, remove any groups added to the user and click Save.
- Scroll down to Permission Sets, Click Edit Permission Sets, remove any Permission Sets added to the user and click Save.
- Click Edit Permission Sets again, select only the following permission sets, then click Save.
