This article provides an overview of how to take a cancelled session back to a Rostered status.
If a session was cancelled by mistake or the cancellation details need updating, you can use the Undo Cancellation feature to return the session to Rostered status. This allows you to update the session information (such as delivery details or cancellation reasons) and then complete the session if required.
Required packages and permissions
Available with: Lumary 23 and later.
Permission set: Lumary - Additional Session Features
This feature provides a cleaner, more efficient way to correct cancellation errors without needing to recreate the session manually.
The article includes:
- when to use this feature,
- what happens when you undo a cancellation,
- benefits of this feature, and
- how to undo a session cancellation.
When to Use
Use the Undo Cancellation function if:
- A session was cancelled in error but should have been completed
- The cancellation reason or details (e.g. notes or charges) need to be corrected
- You want to restore a session for editing rather than recreating it
- The session is currently in Cancelled status
If Service Delivered records linked to the session have already been extracted (e.g., for claiming or reporting), you cannot undo the session cancellation. This is because resetting deletes the session’s associated SDs.
What Happens When You Undo a Cancellation
- The session is returned to the Rostered status
- You can make updates such as time, support items, or notes
- Any SDs created for the cancellation are removed
- You can then re-cancel or complete the session as usual, to regenerate SDs if needed
Benefits
- Helps recover sessions cancelled in error
- Avoids the need to recreate and re-link sessions manually
- Supports more accurate record keeping and billing alignment
