This article explains all of the steps required to claim centre capital costs through the Service Delivery Entry screen.
For centre capital cost charges to successfully create service delivered (SD) records, claiming of these charges will need to be allowed in three locations:
- the face-to-face service that is being delivered
- the site that the service is being delivered at, and
- the participant's service agreement.
Whether centre capital cost claiming is allowed at sites and on participant service agreements is controlled by your organisation. However, the services that allow centre capital cost claiming are determined by the NDIA and will be maintained by Lumary. Please refer to the NDIS price guide to see which services allow centre capital costs to be claimed.
If centre capital costs are allowed to be claimed in all of these places, then you'll be able to generate SD records when delivering appropriate face-to-face services.
To claim centre capital costs using the Service Delivery Entry screen:
- Begin by navigating to the Service Delivery Entry tab and creating a new service delivery.
- Fill in all service details, as per usual.
- If the face-to-face service you're delivering allows centre capital cost claiming, then a checkbox will appear below the Quantity field, labelled Charge Centre Capital Cost. Ensure this is ticked to claim these costs.
Charge centre capital cost checkbox
The Charge Centre Capital Cost checkbox can appear already ticked, blank, or may not appear at all, depending on the service that you're delivering and how you've set up your data.
-
The Charge Centre Capital Cost checkbox appears ticked
If the checkbox appears ticked, then the service being delivered allows centre capital cost claiming, and centre capital cost claiming has been allowed on both the client's service agreement and on the site that the service is being delivered at. -
The Charge Centre Capital Cost checkbox appears unticked
If the checkbox appears but is not ticked, then the service being delivered allows centre capital cost claiming, but centre capital cost claiming hasn't been allowed on the site that the service is being delivered at. You can choose to tick the checkbox and charge centre capital costs in this situation, but we strongly recommend that you check the site to make sure that these costs can be charged. -
The Charge Centre Capital Cost checkbox doesn't appear
If the checkbox doesn't appear at all, this means that centre capital costs can't be claimed for the service that you're delivering, or the client's service agreement doesn't allow centre capital cost claiming.
- Continue to fill out any remaining details and finish the service delivery record.
- Once the face-to-face service has been saved, multiple SD records should be created in the Services list. One of these should be specifically for centre capital costs.
