This article provides an overview of session completion and how you can complete a session from a session record to apportion a service or claim for travel or transport.
After an individual or group client appointment has occurred, the session associated with that appointment must be completed for service delivered (SD) records to be generated.
There are several ways that a session can be completed, such as in the mobile application or through automated processes. However, by using the Complete button to complete a session from a session record, you can:
- change how a group-based service is apportioned between clients
- claim travel costs, and
- claim activity based transport costs.
Apportion a group-based service between clients
When setting up an appointment for a group session, you will be required to select a Scheduled Delivery Ratio. Later, when the session is completed, the service will be apportioned between the clients based on the scheduled delivery ratio.
You can change how a service is apportioned when you complete the session using the Complete button in the session record. This may be to reflect the actual time spent by a worker with each client during a group session or due to cancellations.
When sessions are completed by other methods, such as through the mobile application or an automated process, the apportionment will be based on the scheduled delivery ratio selected at session creation.
