5/12/2023 - Notifications - Transition To Pace
Our Plan End Date Updated notification now also checks if the participant has transitioned to PACE.
Our most valuable notification is hands down the plan end notification. When it fires, providers get timely information prompting them to spring into action and reach out to the participant and/or their network.
With PACE gathering legs, we’re shipping an enhancement to this feature. When the plan end notification fires, it now automatically checks if the participant has transitioned to PACE. If they have, your notification email will include PACE information in bold red text. For example, the plan end notification may now include a message to:
"Please note that your participant has transitioned to PACE on 2023-09-11"
Our aim is to help providers detect PACE transitioned customers as early as possible and to keep their records organised and in sync in Lumary.
All providers with the PACE indicator will automatically receive this update from Wednesday 7/12. If you have not yet requested the PACE indicator, please reach out to us through our contact form.
23/11/2023 - PACE Indicator - Participant Consent Improvement
As we’ve rolled out the PACE Indicator to providers around Australia, we’ve been adapting it to changing and emerging requirements. As a result of a recent NDIA change, we've made a few improvements. It can now report back to service providers with more specific error messages about consent.
Consent in the PACE and NDIA Integration Module context
A participant must give consent for a provider to see information about their NDIA Plan on PACE. There are several ways this can be set or modified. A participant can update this at any time and different providers can have consent to access or view different parts of a participant’s plan. Find out more from the NDIA about participant consent and viewing plans.
We’ve updated the PACE Indicator to return a more specific and meaningful error message when the participant hasn’t provided consent to view their plan. With this update, if the participant has transitioned to PACE but not given your business consent, the module will return a message indicating, “You do not have consent to access the participant’s plan details.”
This will show providers when they may need to reach out to participants to encourage them to give consent.
11/10/2023 - PACE Indicator - My Provider Relationship Status Indicator
As we near the transition to PACE, we've got some planned improvements we'd like to share.
We recently ran an intensive workshop to plan future updates to the NDIA Integration Module. As many of our customers have shown a keen interest in PACE, our focus was on evolving the module to support them through this change.
As a result, we've identified two new features that will help providers through the PACE transition:
We see these as the first of many ways we'll support providers as the new system evolves. We plan to be flexible and quickly adapt to provide the right solutions for providers as the transition continues.
PACE Indicator
Available: end of October.
Stay informed and organised, from the beginning of the rollout and beyond.
The PACE Indicator will mark client records when we detect that their NDIS Plan is on the PACE system. It'll also send you a notification that a participant is on PACE:
- when you add a new client during intake (automatically)
- when you click the Get NDIA Information button, and
- when you receive a Plan End Date notification.
My Provider Relationship Status Indicator
Available: November.
Monitor your relationship with participants as recorded on PACE.
The Relationship Status Indicator will show you when you're a participant's My Provider. It'll also notify you when this relationship changes.
When participants transition to PACE, they can nominate a service provider as their My Provider. This is set for each support category:
- on plan establishment or review, or
- at any time by the participant through the My NDIS Participant Portal.
Some support categories must have a My Provider nominated for claims to be paid. These include specialist disability accommodation (SDA), home and living, and behaviour supports. Most other categories are flexible and don't require a nominated provider.
If you're listed as a My Provider, nothing changes for your claiming process and the timing of claim payments. However, when you're not listed as a My Provider, payment for claims could take as long as 10 calendar days. If the claim is challenged, it may take longer.
The Relationship Status Indicator will show the relationship between you and a participant. It'll also send notifications when it detects a change in this relationship. This will help you to:
- get a clearer view of your relationship with your NDIS participants, and
- anticipate potential impacts on your cash flow and financial planning.
We believe that this feature will be an important indicator to help you understand client sentiment and satisfaction. Email nim@lumary.com.au to connect with us about using the NDIA Integration Module to support your transition to PACE.
6/9/2023 - Features that matter and automated claiming
It's been a while since we provided an update through this page, so we've got a bunch of things to share! From happy customers and features that matter to the recent addition of automated claiming.
You can find out more about key parts of the solution in the NDIA Integration Module section of our Help Centre. It includes explainer videos and step-by-step instructions.
Happy customers
We’ve been growing and improving the NDIA API Integration Module over the past 24+ months. It’s now trusted by 25 service providers across Australia and is having a significant impact on their businesses.
Features that matter
The NDIA integration module:
- is amazingly quick to implement (days)
- is low risk to adopt (by design)
- has an immediate impact on your business, and
- helps service providers operate with much greater efficiency.
WHEN your client data in Lumary is automatically checked at intake against NDIS records…
WHEN your service bookings in Lumary are automatically created or amended when you establish your service agreements…
WHEN you're immediately informed that your client’s NDIS plan end date has been changed…
Your business operates much more efficiently! This is because your data is accurate and in sync with the agency. Back office troubleshooting is greatly reduced. Things just... work better!
Automated claiming
To top this off, we’ve recently added an automated claiming cherry to the NDIA Integration Module cake. With automated claiming:
- NDIS claim success rates reach new levels
- errored claim rates diminish, and
- your business can truly thrive and realise the end-to-end impact of NDIA integration.

11/3/2022 - Roadmap
NDIA Integration Module Roadmap 2022
This update provides an overview of the features in the latest release of the NDIA Integration Module. It also explains:
- what's currently in development
- what we're considering for future development, and
- how you can join us on the journey and help shape the roadmap.
This product has a different release cadence than CM. On average, a new release occurs once every 4 weeks.
Available Now!
The NDIA API Integration Module has been improved with release X, available from February 2022. In addition to existing functionality that automatically checks that contacts exist in PRODA and creates and amends service bookings, the product now includes two new features.
Automatic NDIA notifications |
Via the NDIA Integration Module, users can subscribe to be automatically alerted when a participant’s plan end date has been changed in PRODA. This helps organisations stay better informed about plan changes, which greatly reduces the risk of rejected claims. |
Get NDIS Information button |
We’ve created an option that allows the intake officer to retrieve the participant’s NDIS plan details from PRODA with a simple button click in Lumary. Plan details are now stored in Lumary against the client's contact record. |
Next Up ->
The NDIA API Integration Module beta cycle is now available to customers using the product. We’re exploring the value of the following features with our customers and we’re keen to hear from anyone who wants to be part of the journey.
More readable email (beta) |
We’ve been hearing from our customers that they’d like NDIS Integration Module emails to be more readable (less techy, less jargon). In our current beta, we’ve cleaned up emails and made them more readable (we hope), and we're seeking feedback in UAT. |
NDIS Plan synchronisation (in discovery) |
We’re prototyping bulk synchronisation between service agreements and NDIS plan dates in our beta. This is supported by a one off task to uplift environments to establish synchronisation at a point in time across their client base. This feature will enable the concept of the Plans Dashboard. The Plans Dashboard presents a proactive organisational view of your participant’s plans and a view of the weeks ahead in regards to plan expiry. This will enable organisations to improve efficiency by more proactively managing plan expiry. |
Later ------>
Our current customers have raised the following ideas and we’d love to know if any interest you:
- budget synchronisation between Lumary and PRODA
- automated claiming through PRODA (bulk claiming)
- automated claiming through PRODA (single service delivery claims), and
- enabling NDIS notifications for service booking, request for quote (RFQ) and service booking expiry.
