Update - 10/10/2024
We've developed and tested changes for the updated NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Support Catalogue. We plan to begin deploying to production environments today!
We’ve also published a list of services that will be added to environments. This list also shows services that were previously end-dated and have now been removed from the support catalogue.
Update - 3/10/2024
We’ve completed our analysis of the updated NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits and Support Catalogue. We’re developing and testing the required changes.
There are 22 new services for intensive and complex behaviour supports. The provider travel - non-labour cost support item 15_799_0106_1_3 has been added back into the catalogue. Services that previously had an end date of 30 September 2024 have been removed from the support catalogue. We’ll provide a list of the new services when the update is ready to be deployed.
Update - 1/10/2024
The NDIA has published updates to the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits and Support Catalogue. We’re analysing the changes and planning our approach.
An overview of the changes is available on the NDIA's pricing update page.
Update - 27/8/2024
We’ve begun to deploy Lumary 21 minor release 5. This release includes improvements to support claiming for the NDIA’s revised short notice cancellation policy. This enables:
- 7 and 2 day cancellation periods, and
- the setting of more lenient periods based on individual provider policies.
Find out more in our minor 5 release notes.
Update - 16/7/2024
The deployment to apply the correction to the provider travel - non-labour cost service for assistive technology mentoring is complete. We’ve also updated the NDIS service changes for 1 July 2024 pricing article to include the updated support item code.
We’re continuing to work on changes for short notice cancellations. We’ll post an update when these changes are ready to be deployed.
Update - 15/7/2024
In a further support catalogue update, the NDIA corrected the travel support item code for assistive technology mentoring. The correct provider travel - non-labour costs code is 15_799_0103_6_3. We'll deploy an update to:
- set the provider travel - non-labour costs service to the correct code, and
- link it to the new 15_300_0103_1_3 - Assistive Technology Mentoring service.
We'll publish an update once this deployment is complete.
Update - 10/7/2024
We’ve received confirmation from the NDIA that $222.99 is the correct ACT/NSW/QLD/VIC rate for support item 11_023_0110_7_3 - Behaviour Management Plan Including Training in Behaviour Management Strategies. This is the rate we included in the recent deployments to your environments.
We’re continuing to work on changes for short notice cancellations. We’ll post an update when these changes are ready to be deployed.
Update - 8/7/2024
We've deployed the updated NDIS rates to production environments for pricing limit changes and changes for archived and new services. Check out our NDIS service changes for 1 July 2024 pricing article for a list of affected services.
After our development and testing, the NDIA posted additional revisions to the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits and Support Catalogue. Our review of these revisions found that there continue to be issues with some changes. We’re working on developing and testing further updates while we seek clarification from the NDIA. We’ll post an update when these changes are ready to be deployed.
There are ongoing issues for support item 11_023_0110_7_3 - Behaviour Management Plan Including Training in Behaviour Management Strategies. Rates listed in the pricing arrangements did not match the support catalogue. The revisions have fixed this for remote and very remote prices, however, there is still a difference for the metro rate. We've used the $222.99 value as per the support catalogue as this is consistent with similar items.
As part of the revisions, the reasonable contribution for provider travel - non labour costs per kilometre was increased to $0.99. Providers can review our article about default rates for NDIS non-labour travel to find out where this rate can be set. If the rate has been set on the service agreement and you’ve negotiated the increase with the participant, our article about including travel on NDIS service agreements explains where this can be set.
Short notice cancellation
We’re also developing and testing the changes required to support the updated short notice cancellation arrangements. In the meantime, providers should remove any cancellation SD records created for services where notice of the cancellation fell between the current 7 day period and the new 2 day period. Check out our 2 day short notice cancellation services article for a list of affected services.
We’ll post an update when the changes for 2 day short notice cancellation are ready to deploy.
Update - 5/7/2024
We’ve started deploying updated NDIS rates for pricing limit changes and changes for archived and new services. Updates will appear in production environments over the next few business days. We’ve added a list of affected services to a new NDIS service changes for 1 July 2024 pricing article. We’ll deploy these updates for:
- all Lumary 21 minor release versions, and
- the final Lumary 20 minor release version.
Short notice cancellation
We’ve also started work on the changes required to support the updated short notice cancellation arrangements. In the meantime, providers should remove any cancellation SD records created for services where notice of the cancellation fell between the current 7 day period and the new 2 day period. We’ve added an article that lists the services that now have a 2 day notice period.
We’ll post an update when the changes for 2 day short notice cancellation are ready to deploy.
Update - 2/7/2024
This morning we spotted that the NDIA have uploaded further revisions to the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits and Support Catalogue. We’ve reviewed their additional changes and we’ll include them in our updates.
Update - 1/7/2024
We’ve downloaded and analysed the updated NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits and Support Catalogue. We’re developing and testing the required changes.
To ensure providers can claim new rates as soon as possible, we’re planning to apply the updates in stages:
- We’ll start by applying pricing limit changes and changes for archived and new services. This will enable us to make the new rates available as soon as possible.
- We’ll then work on the changes required to support the updated short notice cancellation policies. We'll release these changes separately.
We’ll post an update when the changes for the first stage are ready to deploy.

Update - 6/6/2024
We’ve set the end dates for Temporary Transformation Payment (TTP) services to 30/06/2024 in production environments. This will help users find the relevant services when they set up service agreements for the move to non-TTP rates.
Update - 22/5/2024
With Temporary Transformation Payment (TTP) ending on 1 July 2024, we’ve put together some new articles. These articles recommend changes for providers currently using TTP services. They:
- provide recommended options for finalising the move to non-TTP rates, and
- list the TTP services that end on 1 July 2024.
The articles link to explanations of how to update service agreements and appointments.
We’re also setting the end dates for TTP services to 30/06/2024. We’ll post an update to this page once this is done.
Update - 18/4/2024
The NDIA has announced that the Temporary Transformation Payment (TTP) for disability support worker-related supports will end on 1 July 2024. We'll handle updating the end date on the current rates to 30/06/2024 for you. We’re also putting together our recommendation for how providers can update service agreements to non-TTP rates.
We’ll post future updates to this page.

Update - 20/12/2023
We've developed and tested changes for the updated NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Support Catalogue. We plan to begin deploying to production environments tonight!
As previously announced, we’ve added categories and services to Lumary CM to support changes for PACE. We’ve added a new article to provide a summary of the PACE plan services that have been added. Providers will need to link these services to a site to use them.
The new PACE categories will be available for selection on all NDIS service agreements. Where a category has changed names, both the old and new names will appear when selecting a category. Users will need to take care to select the right category when setting up new service agreements.
We’re planning to continue to improve support for PACE plan services in future releases. Keep checking our minor release page for updates.
We’ve also added the 7 new provider travel services for non-labour costs. We’re planning to add the functionality to use these services in a future release. Keep checking our minor release page for updates.
Update - 5/12/2023
We’ve downloaded and analysed the updated NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits and Support Catalogue. We’re now developing and testing the required changes. These include:
We’re also updating the end dates on several items that have been added to the legacy rates.
We’ll post an update when the changes are ready to deploy.
PACE categories
As part of the PACE changes, the NDIA has added 6 new categories. 4 of these were split from existing categories, while 2 are brand new. They’ve also renamed 6 categories.
As part of this pricing update, we’re adding categories and services to Lumary CM to accommodate these changes. This means we’ll be adding new PACE versions of services so that they’re available in their new or renamed category. This will make it easier for providers to set up service agreements for PACE plans.
To access these services, providers will need to link the new PACE versions to their sites.
We’ll provide a list of the new services and instructions on how to link them when the changes are ready to deploy.
Providers will still be able to claim for pre-PACE NDIS plans using the previous versions of these categories and services.
Provider travel
The NDIA has added 7 new provider travel services for non-labour costs. To support the intended flexibility of these services, we’ll need to modify the way the system handles provider travel. While we’ll add the services in the pricing update, the functionality needed to use them won’t be immediately available.

We’ll post a notification in this thread once the new rates are deployed.
In the tables below, we’ve listed two support items that have been added and two that have been removed.
For items listed on the Legacy Support Items tab, we’ve updated end dates where necessary.

The NDIA has described key changes for this update on their pricing updates page.
Update - 15/5/2023
Due to the limited number of changes in the pricing arrangements, updates to production environments will only be deployed by request. The main changes to the arrangements that may require action are listed below and may affect providers claiming for:
We’ve also provided guidance on our approach for:
For providers claiming specialist disability accommodation (SDA), effective 20 March 2023, the NDIA has removed support item 06_434_0131_2_2, Specialist Disability Accommodation Monthly Amount from the pricing arrangements. Claims submitted past 19 March may be rejected. Customers using this item can reach out to our Customer Success team for assistance with ending its use.
For providers implementing Home and Living Demonstration projects, the NDIA has changed support item 01_825_0115_1_1, Assistance in Supported Independent Living from notional to a quotable service. Customers using this item should reach out to our Customer Success team for assistance with making the necessary adjustments for claiming.
We note the extension of transitional pricing arrangements for group-based supports until 31 December 2023. Lumary products will continue to allow providers to claim using either the old or new approach.
We also note the clarifications for claiming non-face-to-face (NF2F) supports. We’re planning improvements to increase the visibility of NF2F agreements for inclusion in a future product release.
An overview of the changes to the NDIA’s pricing is available on their pricing update page.

Update - 17/10/2022
We'd like to provide a clarification about the new notional weekly supported independent living (SIL) service. This service and its rate have now been added to production environments. However, it will only be available for service agreements if it is linked to a site.
As the service is only for providers implementing Home and Living Demonstration projects, we recommend that only these providers link the new service to relevant sites.
The notional service's name is Assistance in Supported Independent Living. The support item code is 01_825_0115_1_1.

Update - 22/7/2022
We’ve deployed the short notice cancellation update as part of Lumary 19 minor release 4. We’ve added and updated articles that explain:
- how the system interprets the NDIA’s cancellation requirements, and
- how to make short notice cancellations for claiming using Sessions.
Update - 6/7/2022
We've deployed the updated NDIS rates to all production environments. We’ve also confirmed that the NDIA’s definition of "7 clear days" starts from the time of the scheduled appointment and includes:
- any calendar day, regardless of whether it is a weekend or public holiday
- the day the provider was notified of the cancellation, and
- the scheduled day up until the time of the appointment.
We’ll post here when the short notice cancellation solution is ready to go.
We'll continue to monitor NDIA announcements for the next update.
Update - 5/7/2022
We've completed our development and testing of changes for the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Support Catalogue - effective 1 July 2022. We'll begin the process of updating production environments tonight!
To help guide you through the changes, we’ve added a new article that lists services that have been added, removed and changed.
Providers planning to use newly added services will need a system administrator to link those services to a site.
Short notice cancellation
We’re waiting for clarification from the NDIA regarding the interpretation of their revised short notice cancellation arrangements. Once we have this guidance, we’ll apply an additional update, most likely later next week. This update will create service delivered (SD) records for any cancellations that:
- were recorded from 1 July 2022 onward
- qualify for claiming under the new rules, and
- haven’t already been created or included in an extract.
This will include cancellations that would have previously been outside of the 2 and 5 day restrictions. In the meantime, providers should continue to record cancellations as usual. We advise against creating these SDs manually as this may cause conflicts with our solution.
Remote area services
Some providers may now be eligible to use remote area rates to claim for services. If remote area rates aren’t available in your environment, you may need to load them. Find out how to load NDIS services and rates.
Bereavement payments
As the new bereavement payment support item is to be invoiced directly from the NDIA by providers, this will not be included in the services and rates update.
Update - 30/6/2022
Due to the additional revisions made to the support catalogue, we’ll be updating rates later than the 1 July 2022 effective date. We’re aiming to update rates and services by Tuesday 5 July 2022. We’ll let you know ASAP if there are any further delays.
We recommend that providers:
- continue to deliver services and create service delivered (SD) records as usual, and
- do not create NDIS or financial extracts until the update is made available.
Once we deploy the updated rates, we'll also update all SD records for services delivered on or after the effective date of 1 July 2022. These records will be updated to the new rates. This can only be done for SD records that have not already been extracted.
We'll notify providers once the rates are updated and these records are ready to extract.
Find out more about handling delays to NDIS pricing updates.
Update - 28/6/2022
The NDIA has uploaded revised versions of the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Support Catalogue - effective 1 July 2022. We've downloaded and analysed the latest versions and are developing and testing the required changes. We’ll keep monitoring the pricing arrangements page in case there are further updates.
Based on our initial analysis, providers can begin planning for several upcoming changes. We’ll provide a detailed list of which services have been added, changed or removed before we apply the update.
Updated pricing limits
We’ll update all affected rates to reflect the updated price limits. The end date of previous versions of the rates will be set to 30/6/2022, while new rates will have a start date of 1/7/2022.
Short notice cancellation
The NDIA has changed the terms of short notice cancellations. To ensure the system calculates cancellations accurately, we’re seeking clarification from the NDIA regarding the interpretation of “7 clear days”. The previous definition specified “business days”.
Providers will now also be able to claim centre capital costs (CCC) for cancellations. We’ll update CCC services to enable cancellation claiming from the Service Delivery Entry screen.
Provider travel
Providers will now be able to claim return travel for core support services. We’ll add the ability to claim for this change to the relevant services.
High intensity support
Providers claiming for high intensity support should be aware that changes to the price limit of these supports mean that some of these services will no longer be available. This will mostly affect former level 1 and level 3 services. To continue claiming high intensity support, providers may need to update their client’s service agreements.
To avoid confusion, we’ll also rename the former level 2 support items to match the new names that appear in the Support Catalogue.
Other therapy supports
The NDIA has removed several supports that were labelled “other therapy”. They’ve added new supports for therapy workers, including psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech pathologists and more. We’ll add new services for these supports.
Providers may need to update their service agreements to make claims using the new services.
Regional, remote and very remote area supports
Changes to the arrangements for remote areas mean that some providers may now be able to start claiming using remote area rates. You may need to load the remote rates in your environment to get access to these rates. We’ll provide instructions on how to do this once the updated rates are ready to load.
An overview of the changes to the NDIA’s pricing is available on the NDIA's pricing updates page.
Update - 22/6/2022
The NDIA has published the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Support Catalogue - effective 1 July 2022. We are analysing the changes and planning our approach.
An overview of the changes is available on the NDIA's pricing updates page.
Update - 3/5/2022 - afternoon
We’ve applied a one-off update to align the telehealth setting in all customer production environments. This update will put a tick in the Allow Telehealth checkbox for all NDIS funded services.
We’ve done this because the NDIA’s support catalogue spreadsheet does not currently provide specific guidance on this setting. This change ensures that providers have the option to claim for telehealth-supported services when required.
To find out more about telehealth claiming, we recommend providers review the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.
Customers can prevent telehealth claiming on specific services by opening the service record and unticking the Telehealth checkbox.
Find out more about how to prevent or allow telehealth claiming of an NDIS service in Lumary CM.

Update - 1/3/2022
The NDIA has published updates to the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Support Catalogue. We are analysing the changes and planning our approach.
Update - 14/1/2022
We've deployed the updated NDIS rates to production environments.
We'll continue to monitor NDIA announcements for the next update.
Update - 12/1/2022
We'll begin to update production environments with the new rates tonight. We'll notify customers once the updates are complete.
As part of this update, we've set the value of notional rates to $1.00. This is to align with the pricing listed in the Support Catalogue. As most of the affected services were previously listed as $0.00 and are usually claimed using negotiated rates, providers will not need to change the way they claim these services.
Find out more about how we support notional rates.
Update - 4/1/2022
We are aiming to deploy the latest NDIS rates update prior to the Lumary 18 production release that begins on 13 January.
As part of the update, the NDIA has removed 13 services. These are listed in the table below.
Several of the removed services are PPE-related and the NDIA has increased the rates of several support items likely to require the use of PPE.
The NDIA has also removed several supports in employment items from Capacity Building support categories, as these items should now be claimed from Core support categories.

Update - 3/8/2020
We've begun to review the updated NDIS Price Guide and Support Catalogue that was released on 31 July 2020. The NDIA have made updates to help participants and providers meet current public health guidelines in New South Wales and Victoria.
We are currently analysing the required changes. We'll post an update to this page when we're ready to start updating production environments.
Update - 22/7/2020
We've applied an update to tidy up rates that the NDIA has modified since the release of the July 2020-21 pricing. This included:
- updating the travel, cancellation, non face-to-face and report writing settings for the new services that were added in the latest price guide
- changing the support category name for services listed as Coordination of supports to Support coordination
- correcting a typo in support item 09_799_0117_8_3 to 09_799_0117_6_3
- correcting the price limits for the Group Activities in a Centre – 1:5 – Standard service items, and
- adding the new Provider travel - non-labour costs – 01_799_0117_8_1 service item.
If you plan to use the new service item, you'll need to link the service to a site.
We'll continue to monitor NDIA announcements for further revisions or information about the next update.
Update - 3/7/2020
All changes have been applied to finalise and fix the loading of the new and updated rates.
As usual, to start using the rates for new services you’ll need to link the services to a site.
We'll continue to monitor NDIA announcements for the next update.
Update - 2/7/2020 - evening
We've begun to update production environments with the fix for the issue reported earlier today.
Update - 2/7/2020
URGENT NOTICE ** Updated **
During last night’s loading of the new rates, an error occurred that means that the July rates that were applied are slightly lower than the amount published by the NDIA. We’re working on a solution to this issue and aim to have it resolved within the next 24 hours.
Where possible, we encourage users to avoid creating service delivered (SD) records until this issue is resolved.
As part of the solution, we'll run a script to fix any service delivered (SD) records that have been created with incorrect rates. We therefore strongly encourage customers to avoid running an NDIS extract until the issue is resolved.
Update - 1/7/2020
We've begun to update production environments with the new rates.
Update - 29/6/2020
On Friday afternoon, the NDIA published the NDIS Price Guide 2020-21. However, our analysis revealed that the Support Guide is yet to be finalised. We’ve reached out to the NDIA and they’ve indicated that it won’t be ready until 1 July 2020. This affects the travel, cancellation, reporting and non-face-to-face settings on new services, and means that we’ll need to roll out the update in two phases. In phase one, we’ll:
- end-date March, March COVID and April COVID rates
- load the July rates for existing services, and
- add the new services with travel, cancellation, reporting and non-face-to-face options unchecked.
Once the NDIA releases the finalised support guide, we’ll apply phase 2 and adjust the travel, cancellation, reporting and non-face-to-face settings as per the guide.
We’re currently developing and testing our approach and aiming to make phase one available on 1 July. We’ll set our status to Updating once we begin , and post information to this page if there’s anything you need to do to start using the updated pricing.
Update - 26/6/2020
Group services
The NDIA has announced that “providers will be given 12 months to transition to the new pricing arrangements for group-based supports”. Our interim solution for these supports will therefore be to extend the end dates on the current rates so that they’re still available during the transition period. This will be applied via our usual pricing update process.
Our recommendation is to continue to use the old rates until a robust solution is available to support the new group and centre capital cost rates.
We’ll continue to work on our solution for the adoption of the new arrangements and let you know as soon as they’re available.
Supported independent living (SIL) services
Our interim solution for claiming for supported independent living (SIL) items using July 2020-21 pricing is now available in our Help Centre. In broad terms, we’re recommending that:
- service agreements be set up to automatically generate service delivered (SD) records
- a report be run each day to review which services have had SD records generated, and then
- any SD records where no service was delivered be modified prior to generating an NDIS extract.
We’ll add the new report to the production orgs of businesses planning to use this approach as part of the NDIS pricing update.
Claim supported independent living items using July 2020-21 pricing
To claim non face-to-face activities associated with SIL services, providers will need to create SD records from the Service Delivery Entry screen.
Create a service delivered record manually for a service agreement item
Update - 24/6/2020
We’ve reached out to the NDIA regarding the revised pricing and they’ve indicated that this may not be available until the new guides “go live”. We’re preparing for the possibility that we may not have the final pricing limits until 1 July.
In the meantime, we’re continuing to prepare and confirm advice for claiming for SIL and group services affected by new pricing rules. These explanations will be available soon.
Update - 22/6/2020
Supported independent living (SIL) and group support services
Based on our analysis, we have identified changes to SIL and group support services that will require complex modifications to the Lumary CM product. While we have begun planning a robust solution to accommodate these changes, this will not be available by 1 July 2020.
However, to ensure that you don’t miss out on claiming for either of these services, we’re developing interim solutions to make sure that you’ll be able to meet the NDIA’s claiming requirements.
We’ll post links on this page to explain these strategies as soon as they’re available.
New prices, updated cancellation rules, changed category name
Other changes identified in our analysis include:
- new prices
- updated cancellation rules, and
- a changed category name.
These changes will be applied via our usual pricing update process and made available for 1 July 2020.
Update - 12/6/2020
The Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has announced further changes to pricing that will come into effect from 1 July 2020. These adjustments relate to the NDIS coronavirus response. We're analysing the implications of these additional changes and factoring them into our planning.
Update - 3/6/2020
The NDIS have released an updated Price Guide and Support Catalogue that will come into effect from 1 July 2020. We are analysing the changes and planning our approach.
